Any of these treatments should be used in combination with medications that are prescribed by a doctor and should never be used as a substitution for those medicines. Homeopathic treatment can also be used as an alternative treatment. The art and science of homeopathy relies on the mixture of certain substances. Substances too high in concentration can be dangerous but small doses can be placed under the tongue to aid in treatment. Some of the beneficial substances are phosphorous, Codenium, and Syzygium.

It cannot be emphasized enough that although these alternative treatments can be useful, they are to complement and enhance any medications being taken by the diabetic. They are not to replace them and a doctor should definitely be consulted before any treatments are used.
